Diversity

According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, "Everyone has the right to education, [which] shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms." For me, diversity means betterment. Mankind is better for the myriad of perspectives from those of differing genders, ages, social statuses, sexual orientations, ethnicities, religions, affluences, degrees of education, etc. My classroom will commit to harboring these perspectives as a safe place for them to develop and strengthen. Scroll to see examples of the work I have completed in an effort to educate and improve myself and my belief system.

Below is a research paper I wrote with a partner analyzing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on children in grade school. This paper considers children adversely affected because of class discrepancies and race. I contributed the introduction, anti-Asian hate research, and conclusion paragraphs.
